The president of the municipality visited the municipality of Lenart

The Municipality of Lenart was visited by the President of the Municipality of Rožaje, together with his officials Mensur Kalender, head of the Service for Protocol Affairs and Amela Kalender, advisor for development projects.

The two-day visit was spent in constructive meetings with local businessmen from the fields of animal husbandry, dairy farming, agriculture, the use of alternative sources of energy for heating, and culture.

The municipal delegation had the opportunity to learn about the work of several successful farms (cattle breeding, dairies, cow breeding, etc.), several successful companies in the field of rural tourism, biomass heating, waste management, as well as the work of local administration. Contacts have been made with all companies that would be interested in investing in our municipality, to which special attention will be paid in the coming period.

The program of the visit was focused on learning from best practices related to the opportunities provided by the European Union funds for the development of local government. The delegation of the Municipality of Rožaje had a unique opportunity to see what development opportunities are opened by using EU aid funds for the development of the economy, agriculture, tourism, environmental protection and waste management at the local and regional level.

In accordance with the Cooperation Agreement between Lenart and Rožaje, projects of mutual interest are being developed in the fields of culture, attracting investors to the municipality of Rožaje who are already successfully working in Lenart, as well as transferring knowledge about improving the work of local administration.

The acquired knowledge and experience will be used for the development of projects at the local and regional level that will be handed over to EU funds, with the aim of improving the quality of life of the citizens of Rožaj.
