AWARDS FOR ACHIEVEMENTS IN SPORTS FOR 2016
Today, in Rožaje, a festive gathering was organized by the Local Government at the end of the calendar year, where, in addition to a short analysis and review of the results of the work of the LU in the past year, and presentation of planning tasks for the next year, modest awards for achievements in sports were presented.
The President of the Municipality, Mr. Ejup Nurković, in his address, expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to creating better conditions for the lives of citizens in the Municipality of Rožaje. Emphasizing the work and commitment of all secretariats, Directorates, services and other legal entities that operate and work within the local administration. The President further emphasized that he expects to work even more intensively in 2017 with a focus on starting the economy and creating a favorable environment for foreign investments.
- The committee for the awarding of awards for achievements in sports for 2016, after considering the proposals received by groups of citizens, NGO sector and sports collectives, unanimously chose the following athletes and sports workers and collectives:
- FK "Ibar" was announced as the sports team of the year
FC "Ibar" is considered the oldest sports club in our municipality. It was founded way back in 1934 and this is the 82nd generation of FC "Ibar", which can be said to have achieved a historic result, finishing the season in first place in the Second League of Montenegro. Therefore, the award for the best sports team for 2016 went to the "Ibar" Football Club. The award was received on behalf of the club by the head of Ruždija's coaching staff Ljuljo Ćatović.
- The coach of FC "Ibar", Rešid Reško Pepić, was declared the coach of the year
Rešid Reško Pepić, started his career in the parent club Ibar, and his path then took him to Rudar in Pljevlja, where he was one of the leading players, after that he continued in the Belgrade clubs Rad and Čukarički. He continued his enviable playing career abroad in several Chinese clubs and with Kipark Anorthosis, then a participant in the Champions League. The President of the Municipality, Ejup Nurković, will also present the award to the coach of the year.
- Athlete of the year is Jusuf Nurković, a member of the respectable Judo Club "Ibar".
Jusuf Nurković was born on April 22, 1997. year Multiple cg champion for juniors and seniors, double champion of the Balkans, the only one from Montenegro to win a bronze medal at the European Cup in Runumija, as a junior he won a bronze medal at the senior European Cup in Sarajevo, winner of 7th place at the European Championship in Malaga, and candidate for the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020. Criminology student at the International University in Novi Pazar.
The award for young and promising athletes of the year went to: Dielza Dacić from Judo Club "Ibar" and Mirza Hot from FC "Ibar"
This year, Dielza Dacić won five medals, including two gold, two silver and one bronze, at domestic and international competitions. She won a gold medal in her competition at the Montenegrin Championship and a silver medal at the Belgrade Trophy. Dielza speaks English and is an excellent student.
Mirza Hot, a youth representative of Montenegro, grew up in his native Ibro, where he scored over 50 goals with the younger and older pioneers, continued his career in Bjelopolje Jedinstvo, where he recorded performances in the first league, was the best player and scorer in the youths of Jedinstvo, the right move was is a return to Ibar where he showed all his lavish talent. this season he was the best player of his team with 8 goals and assists, his games earned the attention of the coach of the youth national team, Aleksandar Miljenović.
In addition to the president of the municipality, the president of the Assembly Husejin Kurtagić and the vice president of the municipality Mirsad Azemović presented the prizes to the winners.
At the end, the president of the municipality congratulated the winners of sports awards and appealed to all those who can contribute in their own way, to contribute to the development of sports in general, and wished the Ibar Football Club to enter the first league next year. Pointing out that Rožaje now has an enviable sports infrastructure, the results of which are already becoming visible and will be even better in the coming period.
