Avdić: The crime in Štrpci is a warning to future generations
On the occasion of 27 years since the crime in Štrpci, the President of the Rožaje Municipality Assembly, Almir Avdić, spoke.
"We have a duty to point out the crime and its victims even with a small sign of attention and reverence towards the innocent victims of an insane ideology. A basic human responsibility obliges us to do so, primarily for the sake of future generations who need to know the consequences of the mass eclipse of the mind that occurred in recent history. The crime in Štrpci was committed on the basis of national and religious differences, and it should be a warning to all of us, above all the bearers of social responsibility, to create an environment where all people will be equal, regardless of religious, national or other particularity.
In the end, I believe, regardless of the slow resolution of this case, that all the victims of this crime will find their peace through justice that will reach all the culprits, both those who planned it and those who directly executed it," Avdic said.
