Settlement of Carine: Asphalting of streets with a total width of 400 meters is underway
Work is underway on the modernization of the road network in the Rožaj settlement of Carine. The asphalt curtain is installed in two connected streets, the total length of which is 400 meters and the width is five meters. Asphalting was preceded by leveling the base and placing buffer layers in order to obtain a reliable base for the final works.
The residents of Carina expressed their satisfaction that the roads on which their daily mobility depends are being modernized. As they stated, the asphalt that was laid will improve the spatial ambience of the settlement and make their life activities simpler and easier.
President of the Municipality Rahman Husovic he said that these days work will begin at several locations in the municipality.
"We visit local communities, we are familiar with the infrastructural problems of our citizens. In the following days, we will begin to implement the activity plan more intensively. We announced earlier that we will pay the most attention to the construction and rehabilitation of the local road and water supply network... We will fight to do everything we planned by the end of this year's construction season based on the requests we received from all local communities," explains President Husović and adds that the epidemiological situation that has been going on for months has significantly slowed down the announced investments.
Acting director of the local Directorate for Investments and Traffic Armin Honsic believes that this year's investment in the construction and rehabilitation of roads will justify the expectations of citizens and that the local self-government in cooperation with the Government of Montenegro will invest significant funds in that area.
Honsić reminds that the works have also started in the central part of the municipality, within the framework of which potholes are repaired in several locations, with a total area of about 1,000 square meters.
In the local budget for 2020, funds of 1,026,000.00 euros are planned for infrastructure projects. The state of Jeza Rožaje has earmarked around 36 million euros for this purpose.
