Representatives of the Rožaje Sports Center on a working visit to the Directorate for Youth and Sports
Representatives of the Rožaje sports center and the Secretariat for Social Activities, led by director Asad Omerović, had a working meeting with the acting director of the Directorate for Youth and Sports Dr. Marko Begović and his colleagues.
The topics of the meeting were:
- Acquaintance with the current situation and problems faced by sports organizations in the municipality of Rožaj
- improvement of sports and sports infrastructure in Rožaje
- possibilities of comprehensive reform of sports organizations
- improvement of sports infrastructure
- way of organizing the work of sports collectives with a focus on their long-term sustainability
Director of the Sports Center Asad Omerovic emphasized that during the conversation with Dr. Begović, they analyzed the current situation and problems that our sports organizations are facing and pointed out that it is very necessary to change the way and system of organizing sports organizations in terms of functioning and self-sustainability. He pointed out that they agreed that changes are necessary, both in terms of harmonizing legal acts and finding a model thanks to which all sports centers and collectives in the country would ensure independence in work and self-sustainability.
Acting director of the Directorate for Youth and Sports Dr. Marko Begović expressed his satisfaction with the visit and pointed out that he is ready to focus on the problems faced by the municipalities in the north, with a special emphasis on the problems in Rožaje. He also announced a working visit to the Municipality of Rožaje during which, as he emphasized, further steps of cooperation will be specified.
