Jubilee marked - 40 years of table tennis club "Ibar"
Today, in the Cultural Center, with the presence of the club's founder and ideological leader, the club's presidency and members, representatives of the local administration and table tennis fans and admirers, as well as numerous guests, the jubilee - 40 years of the table tennis club "Ibar" from Rožaj was celebrated.
Dr. Džavdet Dacić, president of the table tennis club, and Dr. Erdan-Danko Sutović, member of the presidency and one of the best players of the table tennis club "Ibar", spoke about the origin of this sport in Rožaj, its development, as well as the numerous successes of this club.
In its 40th anniversary of existence, the display case of this club is decorated with over 250 trophies, 17 titles of the national team champion in the senior competition, 10 titles at the MOSI Games (including 7 men's and 3 women's), 19 titles of the national team champion in the junior competition, and 16 in the pioneering competition.
The club is the winner of many great awards, among which the "September 30" award of the Municipality of Rožaje, the Plaque with the charter of the SSRN of Montenegro in 1986, the Award of the Table Tennis Association of Montenegro and Yugoslavia, the Award of the COK and many others.
A presentation of the history of the table tennis club "Ibar" was shown and awards and plaques were awarded by Mr. Mahmut Kalač, president of the Assembly of the Table Tennis Association of Montenegro.
Plaque winners are: Nusret Kalač, President of the Municipality, STK "Budim" from Beran, Nikola Vujadinović, Dušan Osmanagić, Mahmut Kalač, Branimir Kaluđerović, Milutin Maraš, Robert Tahirović, Dr. Erdan Sutović, Erol Hadžialijagić, Dr. Dževdet Dacić, Ismar Hadžialijagić, Selman Erović , Svetislav Jovanović, Semir Kurtagić and Edvin Demić.
Recognitions were received by prof. Bećir Šabotić and Resmija Zejnelagić.
On behalf of the Local Administration, the Chief Administrator, Mr. Mersudin Dautović, greeted the attendees, who presented a Plaque to the Table Tennis Club "Ibar" on the occasion of the club's fortieth anniversary and a special recognition in the form of a gift, an art painting, by the academic painter Aldemar Ibrahimović, Dželal - Dželjko Hadžialijagić, a man without whom we cannot live. could imagine the sport of table tennis in Rožaje, as well as the numerous successes of this club from the first table tennis days until today.
