Days of mushrooms, herbs and healthy food
Organized by the Center for Culture and the Tourist Organization, and under the auspices of the Municipality of Rožaje, the four-day event "Days of Mushrooms, Medicinal Plants and Healthy Food" was opened in Rožaje this evening, which is held as part of the Rožaje Cultural Summer.
This manifestation is organized in the firm belief that it will take root, just like mushrooms and medicinal plants, all with the aim of becoming traditional and promoting the natural and cultural values of this region in the best possible way.
The ceremonial opening of the event was preceded by the promotion of the Atlas of Mushrooms by Jelena Vukojević and Ibrahim Hadžić, as well as the Mushroom Picking Manual by Ibrahim Hadžić, one of the most famous mycologists in the area of the former Yugoslavia, who identified around seven hundred types of mushrooms in the Rožaj area, of which six or seven are the species is endemic and no longer grows anywhere on the Balkan Peninsula.
The event began with a parade of more than 200 members of the ensemble of the Center for Culture, dressed in the national costumes of this region and the whole of Montenegro.
The President of the Municipality, Mr. Nusret Kalač, who officially opened the event, expressed his sincere satisfaction that Rožaje now has the opportunity to be proud of the event, which will surely become a brand of this region.
"Our ambition is for this event to become traditional, it already is, and the point is not only to have cultural content, they should follow what we want it to achieve, become and be" said Kalač.
In the name of a bright Rožaj future and in the name of the valorization of all the values at our disposal, he declared the event open.
As part of the evening of children's creativity, "In the Mirror of Dreams and Imagination", the Children's Folklore Ensemble of the Culture Center, which performed several choreographies and showed how tradition is loved and inherited from a young age, the Dance Group "Pahulje" performed the choreography "After the Rain" sun" as well as Elma Demić, Ahsena Nokić, Edis Agić, Minea Tahirović, Erhan Luboder, Arbin Kuč, Belma Fejzić, Jasmina Kurpejović, Sara Ljajić and Džemal Hot.
