Ambassador Gandel: "I will recommend everyone to come to Rožaje"

The President of the Municipality, Rahman Husović, met today with the Ambassador of Slovakia to Montenegro, Boris Gandel, who was on an official visit to Rožaj.

President Husović welcomed Ambassador Gandel and talked with him about numerous topics related to their future cooperation.

"Rožaje is a city with an exceptional development perspective. When it comes to our overall progress, we place our hopes primarily in the rich natural potential that will give us the opportunity to bring tourists to our municipality throughout the year. What makes Rožaje special is the tradition of hospitality and openness to people, regardless of where they come from," said President Husović at the beginning of the conversation.

Ambassador Gandel followed up on the opening presentation of the first man of the Rožaje municipality and said that it was his first time in Rožaje and that he was enchanted by the hospitality and the natural environment in which the Rožaje municipality is located.

"Montenegro and Slovakia are connected by strong ties of friendship. These are small countries with wonderful nature and friendly people. It is our desire to further improve cooperation with municipalities in Montenegro. In this direction, we are ready to help with mini-grants in the implementation of important projects of public interest", said Ambassador Gandel and thanked him for the welcome given to him by the President of the Municipality and his Cabinet.

In addition to the discussion on future cooperation, the focus of the visit was also the project of arranging the park-forest Brezovacko brdo, which the NGO Avlija implemented in cooperation with the Embassy of Slovakia, the Municipality of Rožaje and the Tourist Organization.

Ambassador Gandel praised the promptness of all local entities that worked on that project and pointed out that they will continue to support the further development of that famous green oasis.

The TO director Nedžad Murić and Rasim Luboder from the non-governmental organization "Avlija" joined the meeting.

President Husović and Ambassador Gandel, after meeting with colleagues, visited the site of the park-forest Brezovacko brdo, the arrangement of which will continue these days.
