Asphalting of roads is a prerequisite for sustainable survival in the countryside
The local administration headed by the president, Mr. Ejup Nurković, continues to work on the rehabilitation and improvement of the road infrastructure towards the villages of Rožaj.
Funds from the capital budget of the Municipality, designated for these purposes, are directed according to the plan and program with the coordination of the directorate for investments, in which the Agency for Development and Design also participates.
The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Mr. Ejup Nurković, in his statement, among other things, says that the local administration is doing everything in accordance with its capabilities to improve the lives of citizens in both rural and urban areas, working hard on the construction of water infrastructure, construction of new asphalt roads, rehabilitation of old , bridge repairs, which automatically creates a better living environment, and the construction of road infrastructure will greatly improve the conditions for life in the countryside, and roads will be easier to clean and maintain in the winter. Nurković also says that the Secretariat for Agriculture is creating a database of all households engaged in animal husbandry and agriculture, as well as those who have the conditions for it and do not engage in the aforementioned work themselves.
Good asphalt roads, along with stable electricity supply as well as an adequate and high-quality water supply system, are certainly the basis of development, and only they create the conditions for easier application for approval of funds from European and IPA funds.
We also distributed about a hundred greenhouses where future farmers will be able to gain new experience in growing fruits and vegetables with a guaranteed purchase, which has not been widely represented in Rožaje until now. The local administration will also, in cooperation with the services and the sectariat for agriculture, organize lectures on the topic of growing vegetables and fruits in greenhouses, which will also be useful and contribute to the maximum utilization of the allocated greenhouses, thus providing income for growers, emphasizes Nurković.
Locals as well as the presidents of the local communities, Balotići, Seošnica, Radetina, Radeva Mahala..., express their gratitude to the President of the Municipality and the local administration, which, as part of its priorities, was considerate of them and their requests. They express the hope that this approach will be the initial capsule not only for sustainable survival in the countryside, but also for the return of people to agriculture and animal husbandry.
