The budget is smaller by more than a million euros, the corona virus has changed the socio-economic picture of Rožaj
The XVI regular session of the Assembly of the Municipality of Rožaje was held. In front of the councilors was the Agenda made up of 34 items.
The proposal for the Decision on Amendments to the Decision on the Budget of the Municipality of Rožaje was unanimously adopted. The budget rebalancing plan was presented to the councilors by the secretary of the Secretariat for Finance Ismet Hadžić. He explained that the main reason for drafting the Decision on Amendments to the Decision on the Budget of the Municipality of Rožaje for 2020 is the reduction of the overall Budget of the Municipality, as well as the adoption of the Decision on the Organization and Mode of Operation of Local Government, which was adopted on April 1 of the current year.
The budget rebalancing, according to the adopted proposal, is planned for the amount of EUR 6,904,000.00, so compared to the Decision on the Budget for 2020, it is EUR 1,177,000.00 less (1.17 percent).
Hadžić also said that the reduction of the total budget mainly refers to the reduction of the majority of revenues, among which are: personal income tax, surtax on personal income tax, fee for the use of municipal roads and income from the sale of real estate.
In earlier reports of the Secretariat for Finance, it was stated that the corona virus has significantly changed the economic picture at the local level.
President of the Municipality Rahman Husovic pointed out that employees in the local self-government will be paid all 12 personal incomes.
One part of the session was devoted to the consideration and adoption of decisions on the sale of construction land to natural persons, as well as consideration of the proposed decision on adoption Local Action Plan for Youth 2020-2021 which received unanimous support.
The councilors unanimously supported the proposal of the Decision on allocating land free of charge to Nedžiba Honsić, who is in a state of social need and in the process of solving the housing issue.
The president and member of the Board of Directors of the Day Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities and Difficulties in Development (Dr. Sead Nurković and Arben Mujević) as well as a member of the Committee for Finance, Economy and Development (Remzo Bralić) were appointed. The councilors also supported the proposal of the Decision on the establishment of the "Jablanica" Local Community.

At the very beginning of the parliamentary session, the President of the Municipal Assembly Almir Avdic he invited the councilors and all present to honor the citizens who died as a result of the corona virus epidemic by reciting El-Fatiha and observing a minute of silence.
Presidents of the Municipality and SO Rahman Husovic and Almir Avdic as well as councilors referred to the social contribution rhm. Faruk Kalić, a journalist who for decades followed the work of the Rožaj parliament and informed citizens about all decisions and events of public interest with high-quality and above all professional reporting.
President of the Club of Councilors of the Bosniak Party Dr. Cena Kajević warned the public about the rapid spread of the corona virus and called on citizens to strictly adhere to the measures NKT in order to protect lives and health.
