Representatives of the Sarajevo municipality Centar in an official visit to Rožaj, cooperation at all levels announced
The President of the Municipality, Rahman Husović, and the President of the Municipal Assembly, Almir Avdić, together with their colleagues, received today a delegation from the Sarajevo municipality of Centar, led by its president, Nedžad Ajnadžić.
The meeting was held on the occasion of considering potential forms of economic and cultural cooperation between the two municipalities, which, as it was concluded, are connected by strong friendly ties.
The President of the Municipality, Rahman Hisović, expressing his satisfaction with the visit, informed the guests about the current socio-economic situation in Rožaje and listed the resources that the city under Hajlo has at its disposal, which, as he assessed, will be rapidly exploited in the coming period with the aim of further socio-economic development. .
"I am glad that you are in Rožaje today for this friendly visit, which gave us the opportunity to get to know each other and strengthen contacts between the two municipalities in order to create opportunities for various forms of cooperation at the regional level in the coming period, which will have a positive impact on our local environment as well as to Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which can boast of traditionally good relations", the President said, among other things.
The president of the local parliament, Almir Avdić, presented concrete investments in the territory of Rožaj related to the improvement of the road network and improvement of the conditions for the development of tourism, which were realized, as he noted, thanks to the good cooperation between the local self-government and the Government of Montenegro, which recognized the development potential the north of the country.
"Positive investment policy is slowly forming the conditions for domestic and foreign investments in this environment, and very soon we will be able to present concrete projects to our potential collaborators whose goal will primarily be economic development." pointed out Avdić.
The representatives of Rozaj local self-government also referred to the importance of the Sandzak Games, which will be held during the summer and which will bring together a large number of sports fans. The leaders of the Municipality of Centar expressed their willingness to financially support the organization of that sports event and to stay in Rožaje on this occasion.
The President of the Municipality of Centar, Nedžad Ajnadžić, thanked for the reception and praised the openness of the Rožaj local self-government for the exchange of work experiences. Ajnadžić called on the representatives of the two municipalities to intensify cross-border cooperation at the educational and administrative level and to jointly implement programs financed by EU funds.
In addition to President Ajnadžić and his advisers Bećir Sirovina, Safet Huremović and Mustafa Resić, the delegation included Velja Katica, councilor of the Municipal Council, prof. Dr. Muamer Kalić, originally from Rožaj, who is the head of the Union of Diaspora and Emigrants from Montenegro, doc. Dr. Rizvan Halilović, president of the Bosnian-Turkish Friendship Association "Bosfor" and Filip Mursel Begović, general project manager of BKZ "Preporod".
The next meeting, at the invitation of the guests, will be held in the municipality of Centar.
