The parade of folklore societies delighted the Roža audience
Last night, despite the bad weather, a parade of folklore societies was held on the city square, and the folklore societies performed in the large hall of the Cultural Center, which was too small to accommodate interested citizens. In the ceremonial part, the Thank You for Humanity was presented to our fellow citizens who live and work abroad by the President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, when he greeted all the guests present, warmly thanking our diaspora, which, according to him, is the best diaspora that our region has.
"You shared with us the good and the bad that our fellow citizens were going through, you were always our support and benefactors who always responded to our calls. It is necessary that we work together for the good of our people, and the local government and our administration offer various benefits and subsidies for investment in our municipality. As a local administration, we are supported by the decree of the Government of Montenegro, which was recently adopted, and which offers various types of benefits for future investors. I believe that joint work will yield good results both for our citizens and for you as future investors." Mr. Nurković said, among other things.
The festival was attended by representatives of the diaspora, the Vice President of the Government of Montenegro, Mr. Rafet Husović, MPs from Rožaj in the Parliament of Montenegro, numerous cultural workers from neighboring municipalities, local officials and the administration of the local government.
The head of the Diaspora Center, Ms. Fahreta Husović, also addressed the gathering, who thanked our diaspora for their joint work so far and invited them to stay more often in our municipality because it will always be their home, filled with the love and cordiality of our fellow citizens. 5 cultural and artistic societies presented themselves to the audience, and their performances received thunderous applause from the audience: KUD "Vrelo Ibra" - Rožaje, KUD "Bihor" - Petnjica, KUD "Tekstilac" - Bijelo Polje, KUD "Plavsko jezero" - Plav and KUD "Rainbow"-Barane. The members of the ethnic group "Svilenica" from Rožaj prepared two songs for the Rožaj audience, which completed the cultural experience, and after their performance, the "Hollywood" hairdressing salon presented a show of wedding dresses and hairstyles.
The patrons of this event are the Municipality of Rožaje and the Bosniak National Council in Montenegro, and the organizers are the Center for Culture Rožaje, the Tourist Organization of Rožaje and the Center for International Cooperation and Diaspora.
