The delegation of the Municipality of Rožaje visited the Municipality of Kütahya (Turkey)
The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković with a delegation, officially visited the Municipality of Kütahya, following the invitation of the President of the Municipality Kamil SARAÇOĞLU, from 13-17. May. In a friendly spirit with a well-prepared visit, the hosts welcomed the guests with mutual satisfaction and a desire for closer cooperation.
On the first day of the visit, the Cooperation Protocol was signed, as a continuation of the administrative rapprochement, after the verification of the Cooperation Agreement in the Assemblies of these two municipalities, which was also attended by the Governor of Kutahya. The protocol was followed with great media interest. With this agreement, the municipality of Rožaje is richer for another sincere friendship and with it the door has been opened for future closer cooperation in various activities.
On the same day, the delegation of the local administration of Rožaje also visited Valiya from Kutahy, where future steps of cooperation and opportunities for investment in the municipality of Rožaje were discussed. The President of the Municipality of Rožaje and the delegation presented the opportunities offered by our municipality, especially emphasizing the development of final wood processing, the production of medicinal plants, the possibility of opening mini power plants, tourism and agriculture, which are related branches to the branches of production in the Kutahya region.
On the second day of their stay in Kutahya, the delegation visited the Institute for Testing Medicinal Plants - which has perfected the technique for cultivation on plantations, and which in the last year alone brought an income of 13 million euros to growers. It is possible to establish a similar method of production in the municipality of Rožaje, so this opened up opportunities for similar investments in our municipality by investors from Kutahy. Accompanied by the Vice-President of the Municipality of Kutahya, Mr. Ali Ihsan Ertaş, the delegation of the Municipality of Rožaje, consisting of: President Ejup Nurković, President of the Assembly of Rožaje, Husein Kurtagić, Councilor and President of the Committee for International Cooperation of the Municipality of Rožaje, Esad Plunac, Secretariat of the Secretariat for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship, Nezir Dacić, entrepreneurs Isljam Mujević and Muamer Dedeić, translator Moamer Kalač, visited the industrial zones of their production, such as: a plastic recycling factory, a factory for the production of ceramics, furniture... as well as the largest factory in the world for the production of porcelain - Guler porcelain. On that occasion, President Nurković invited the owners of the Factory to invest in Rožaje, for which some have shown interest. He will soon return to visit the Municipality of Rožaje, when he will personally inform himself about the potential of the municipality and the configuration of the terrain.
On the third day, the delegation had the opportunity to see the ancient city of Kebala, which is more than 2000 years old, after which they visited Çayce köya, where Bosniak settlers who came to Kutahya municipality live 130 years ago. They kept the Bosnian language, which the new generations also speak.
On the way back, the delegation visited the Municipality of Bursa, where they also presented opportunities for investing in the municipality of Rožaje.
