EJUP NURKOVIĆ WILL BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROŽAJE FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS
The president of the municipality of Rožaje for the next four years will be Ejup Nurković, this is what the councilors of the municipal assembly decided at the first regular session held on August 3, 2018. With the election of Nurković as the president of the municipality, the constitution of the authorities in Rožaje was completed after the local elections held on May 27, 2018.
Nurković was nominated by the Bosniak Party and was the only candidate for this position, which he held for the past 4 years. His election was supported, in addition to BS councilors, by DPS councilors, while SD councilors abstained.
Irma Dacić submitted a proposal on behalf of the BS club, for the election of Ejup Nurković as the president of the municipality.
Nurković thanked all the councilors who supported his election, as well as those who abstained, he is especially pleased that none of the councilors present was against his election, which will give him, as he said, additional strength to work harder and more dedicatedly.
He announced the consolidation of municipal finances and the systematization of jobs in local administration according to European standards.
The new-old president of the municipality called on everyone who can and loves Rožaje, first of all the Government and the diaspora, to help and enable the creation of new jobs.
As of today, the local administration owes 3,600,000 euros based on outstanding salaries and obligations to suppliers, public institutions and services founded by the 2nd Assembly, while the Municipality owes 7,900,000 euros based on loans.
He expects increased income to the municipal coffers from the legalization of facilities and concession fees.
At the first regular session of the Rožaje Municipal Assembly, the president and members of the Selection and Appointment Committee were elected. Dr. Cena Kajević, councilor of the Bosniak Party, was elected president, Irma Dacić and Senad Kuć are also members, as well as BS councilors, Enisa Murić from DPS and Alisa Ećo from SD.
