Husović is a guest in the sister city of Pernik in Bulgaria

President of the Municipality of Rožaje Rahman Husović was a guest of the International Festival "Surva" in the sister city of Pernik in Bulgaria.

Husović was welcomed by Mayor Stanislav Vladimirov, with whom he discussed future economic and cultural cooperation between Rožaj and Pernik.

With President Husović was accompanied by the manager of the Municipality of Rožaje, Mirsad Džudžević, and Dr. Husnija – Beljo Tahirović, president of the Association of Rožaje – Pernik in 2002.

In 1995, Pernik was accepted as a member of the European Federation of Carnival Cities, and since 2008, the International Festival of Masquerade Games has been held in this city, every last Saturday and Sunday in January.

In 2015, this festival was included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage of the world.

Rožaje and the Bulgarian city of Pernik are connected by long-term cultural cooperation, which resulted in the twinning of the two cities.
