Husović-Kavarić: The health system has enough capacity to protect citizens' health
President of the Municipality Rahman Husovic met today with a member of the Crisis Medical Staff Dr. Nebojš Kavarić and the director of the Plav Health Center dr Omer Šahmanović who are staying in Rožaje for the third day in order to monitor the epidemiological situation and provide support to the doctors and medical staff in the local health center in implementing the guidelines of the Institute for Public Health and the National Coordinating Body.
Dr. Kavarić said in a conversation with President Husović that in recent days the work of the Rožaj Health Center has been reorganized and that all personnel and technical resources of that health facility are involved in preventing the further spread of the infection. He also said that ambulances for patients who come with symptoms of the corona virus are separated from other departments and that vehicles are also divided according to the same principle.
Dr. Kavarić also said that an increase in the number of infected people is expected in the coming days, but that there is no reason to panic because the Health Center in Rožaje has the capacity to effectively respond to the emerging health challenge. He also noted that the Montenegrin health system has a good organization and sufficient strength to protect the health of its citizens.
During the meeting, Dr. Kavarić also called on the competent authorities, primarily the Police Directorate and the Sanitary Inspection, to additionally strengthen the supervision over the implementation of temporary protection measures, especially in the part related to compliance with self-isolation measures.
President Rahman Husovic he praised the new work regime in the local Health Center and expressed his satisfaction with the institutional readiness of the health system to respond to the current challenge. He said that the doctors and the entire medical staff in Rožaje have shown tremendous dedication and willingness to help their fellow citizens in the past period.
In addition to the appeal to strictly observe the NKT measures, citizens were told that electronic services will be maximally involved in the treatment process, which will reduce the frequency of patients and thus reduce the possibility of transmission of infection.
