Abazovic: We will improve the living environment in the North
Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović he was today with his colleagues on a working visit to the Municipality of Rožaje, where he met with the local leadership led by the president Rahman Husović.
During the official part of the meeting, the models of further economic development of the city under Hajlo were discussed, as well as the directions of future cooperation between local and state authorities.
In the opening part of his address, President Husović welcomed the guests and praised their initiative for the first official visit. After that, he pointed out the importance of continuing the implementation of the started projects that are financed from the Government's budget, and on which, as he said, the future economic and social progress of Rožaj depends.
"In the past period, we started several important capital projects. Among them is the construction of the future ski center "Hajla-Štedim", then, the reconstruction of the section Rožaje-Špiljani, Zaobilaznica, the building of the city market, the sports hall, the formation of the Business Zone as well as the construction of the third city school building were announced. A lot has been invested in most of these projects so far, some are in the final stages of implementation. We hope that the continuity of investments will continue and that space will be created for the realization of new investments so that we can work together in the interest of improving the living conditions of all citizens in this area.said the president Husovic and pointed out that the local self-government is open to any type of cooperation that aims to achieve the common good.
Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović referred to the importance of the future ski center "Hajla-Štedim" and expressed the observation that this project will play an important role in the process of the overall development of both Rožaj and Montenegro. In addition, he pointed out the need for stronger road connections with the countries of the region in order to create conditions for the serious development of winter tourism.
Vice President Abazović said today that the Government will actively work to improve the living environment in the northern part of the country and that, as he said, long-standing injustices towards the north will be corrected. At the same time, he pointed out the challenges the country is facing, the cause of which is the corona virus pandemic.
President of the Municipal Assembly Almir Avdic he said that the political situation in Rožaje is stable and that there is a constructive atmosphere in the local parliament when deciding on all important issues. He also added that cooperation between local self-government and the Government is necessary in order to realize all ideas whose main goal is the progress of society and efficient management of resources.
Avdić, in his capacity as a representative of the local assembly, also stated that he expects from the new government a maximum dose of sensibility towards the multi-ethnic spirit of Montenegro, as well as its commitment to the preservation of the civic concept of society, for which, as he pointed out, the citizens of Rožaj have always been committed.
After the meeting, representatives of the Government and the Municipality visited several locations where certain infrastructure and capital projects are being implemented and planned. A walk through the central square was also organized.
