ELECTIONS IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES
COMMUNICATION
Based on the decision of the President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Mr. Ejup Nurković, on the announced elections in the local communities, the Secretariat for the General Administration of the Municipality of Rožaje, informs the citizens that from 27.08. until September 30, 2014, hold elections in all local communities for the election of members of the Council of local communities as well as the presidents of those Councils.
The municipality of Rožaje consists of 25 local communities: Right bank of the Ibar, Right bank of the Ibar I, Koljeno, Kalače, Bać, Biševo, Bašča, Ibarac, Bukovica, D. Lovnica, Sređani, Seošnica, Radetina, Daciće, Paucina, Balotiće, Besnik, Grižica, G. Lovnica, Plunce, Ćosovica, Lučice, Klanac and Grahovo.
Local communities are communities of citizens based on their place of residence in a specific area, organized to meet certain needs and interests of citizens in that area, as part of a unique system of Local Self-Government.
Local communities were established for the city and rural areas.
Urban local communities were established for a specific area of the city (residential block or several connected residential blocks, city settlements or several connected city settlements) which represent a spatial urban planning and communal entity in which citizens are connected by common interests and needs in their daily life and work.
Rural local communities were established for one or more settlements-villages, which are territorially connected to each other and where citizens realize common interests and needs in their daily life.
The election of the Council of the local community is decided by the assembly of citizens of the local community, in accordance with the Statute of the Municipality of Rožaje and the decision on local communities. In the process of nominating members to the Council of the local community, account will be taken of the representation of all settlements from the area that includes the local community.
The elections will be held for the first time in a free democratic atmosphere, without the influence of political subjects, where citizens will have the opportunity to freely express their will.
We invite all members of local communities to come out en masse in the elections and vote for the best candidates, who will work in the interest of the citizens of the local community.
On Thursday, August 28, 2014. year, the first assembly of citizens of the local community of Radetina was held, where a local council of 7 members was elected by public vote. The newly elected local council held a council session on the same day, where they elected the president of the council, where Ledinić Hajrudin was unanimously elected.
Hajrudin is a respectable citizen and a successful entrepreneur.
