The constituent session of the Rožaje Municipal Assembly continues on Wednesday
The constituent session of the Rožaje Municipal Assembly continues on Wednesday. During the first part of the session, the mandates of councilors were verified. The item on the agenda that referred to the selection of the president of the local parliament was not opened.
In fact, at the session of the Municipal Committee of the Bosniak Party which was held yesterday, Almir Avdić, a long-time member of this party, was nominated for the president of the local assembly by the majority of the members of the Committee. If we take into account the fact that the Bosniak Party has 19 councilors in the new convocation, it is certain that this decision will be confirmed.
At the same session, a candidate for the president of the municipality was elected. With the majority of votes of the members of the BS Municipal Board, of which there are a total of 141, another mandate was entrusted to Ejup Nurković, who has been the head of the municipality for the past four years and who was also the first president of the municipality of Rožaje from the ranks of the Bosniak Party.
