Košuta and Đerlek donated an ambulance to the Health Center in Rožaj
Rafet Kosuta and Semir Djerlek, successful businessmen who live and work in Germany, donated ambulances, specialized for transporting patients, to health centers in Rožaje and Tutin.
After handing over this valuable donation to the Tutina Health Center, they headed towards Montenegro, where they were met by the President of the Municipality of Rožaje at the Dračenovac border crossing. Rahman Husovic.
Košuta and Đerlek handed over the keys to the vehicle to President Husović and said that the donation was an expression of their need and desire to be with people in their homeland in the days when they are faced with a serious health challenge.
"The diaspora is ready to help the people of this region. Our thoughts are always with you and we will support you in any situation. We sincerely regret the health problem that has befallen this area and we hope that we will stop the spread of the virus by joining forces", said Rafet Košuta, who was born in Rože and lives in Offenbach and Tutin.
Đerlek, a native of Tutin, also expressed his willingness to be a part of any action that serves the common interest of people in this area.
Košuta and Đerlek also wanted the citizens of Rožaj and Tutin to use the vehicle they donated as little as possible, and they also announced new humanitarian activities.
President Husović thanked the donors for what he said was a humane feat, which is a reflection of the humanity and fraternal concern that the diaspora constantly shows towards its compatriots.
"Our people living abroad have permanently indebted us with their humanity and solidarity. They were and remain with us at every opportunity, always ready to lend a helping hand. On my own behalf, on behalf of the Health Center and all the citizens of Rožaj, I would like to thank our dear donors who, in addition to allocating funds for the purchase of cars, traveled for three days to transport them to their desired destinations", said President Husović.
He added that the citizens of Rožaj and Tutin are connected by strong friendship and family ties, and that he is equally concerned about their epidemiological situation.
Along with the ambulances came significant quantities of protective masks, disinfectants and other medical equipment collected by several associations and our citizens living in Germany. The Kajević family participated in the procurement of medical supplies in the amount of 1,000 euros.
