LDS CHARITIES is preparing donations for Rožaje
Representatives of the organization LDS CHARITIES from America were on a working visit to Rožaje. They were received by Amela Kalender, from the Office of the President's Cabinet, and Rusmir Džudžević, Secretary of the Secretariat for Planning, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection, as representatives of the local self-government.
After the conversation in the local self-government building, a tour of the "25. maj" in order to examine the needs of that educational institution that would be included in the potential plan of future donations, after that, they visited the village of Grahovo.
We remind you that two years ago, this organization provided financial resources, in the amount of 50,000 euros, for the construction of a water reservoir in Grahovo, which is also part of the "Ćosovsko vrelo" water supply system, which will supply drinking water to seven villages and on which works are currently underway. the final stage.
Representatives of LDS CHARITES, whose work is based on humanitarian activities, presented a vision of future projects for the territory of the municipality of Rožaje, the implementation of which they would support, and they also spoke about the numerous activities they carry out at the level of Montenegro.
Elder and Sister Cary (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) point out that their organization has existed in Montenegro for 12 years and that it carries out numerous activities aimed at improving the living conditions of adults and children. They are currently implementing several projects in Podgorica, Nikšić and Bijelo Polje, whose activities include arranging school premises, equipping libraries, as well as participating in the construction of certain buildings.
This organization, on a global level, initiates and participates in the actions of distributing free meals and providing other forms of assistance to socially vulnerable categories of the population. Their work is exclusively voluntary.
