The local administration will provide all necessary support to disenfranchised mothers
On May 31, 2016, the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Boris Marić, met with the Vice-President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Mirsad Azemović, and representatives of mothers from Rožaje, who have been protesting for days demanding the realization of the right to compensation for mothers with three or more children.
At the meeting, issues related to exercising their right were presented. The representatives of the mothers from Rožaj informed the minister about their view of the situation in which they find themselves.
At the meeting, Minister Marić pointed out that he will do everything in his power to learn more about this problem in order to find a solution.
Mr. Ejup Nurković, President of the Municipality of Rožaje, together with Vice President Azemović, visited mothers who are trying to get their rights through protests. On that occasion, they were promised that the Local Government would provide all support and be on the side of disenfranchised women.
It is worth emphasizing that the new Minister of Labor and Social Welfare promised to visit Rožaje during the next week and get to know the problem more closely and try to find an above-average adequate solution to this problem.
