Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Budimir Šegrt, today, on a working visit to the Rožaje Health Center
The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, and the Director of the Health Center, Dr. Hajran Kalač, today received a delegation led by the Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Budimir Šegrt. The working visit and the meeting were attended by the director of the Health Insurance Fund, Dr. Kenan Hrapović, the general director of the Directorate for Health Protection, Dr. Mensud Grbović, the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Health, Tatjana Boljević, the advisor to the director of the Health Insurance Fund, Milica Škiljević, the vice president of the municipality of Rožaje, Mirsad Azemović and the assistant director of the Rožaje Health Center, Šabo Luboder.
After visiting all departments and premises of the Health Center, the Minister of Health expressed his satisfaction with the infrastructure and conditions of our health facility, bearing in mind that its renovation has been carried out so far with donations from abroad and from our fellow citizens.
Dr. Hajran Kalač informed the Minister about the number of employees, the infrastructure projects that have been completed so far and the general situation in the Health Center, particularly emphasizing the problems that the Rožaje Health Center is facing, such as the functioning of the outpatient clinics.
The president of the municipality emphasized the release of the very status of the Rožaje Health Center, which in terms of infrastructural capacity is significantly different from Health Centers in smaller municipalities, because it looks more like a hospital, and yet it does not meet all the conditions to grow into a hospital, which implies further training of staff in more specialized areas of medicine.
Mr. Ejup Nurković supported the Minister in his plans to improve conditions and services in healthcare in the coming period, because this is primarily in the interest of citizens. During the working meeting, there were discussions about all the problems citizens face when they need health support and help. Those present paid special attention to finding solutions for citizens living in the countryside, because traveling to the Beran hospital represents a large economic expenditure, and at the same time there are health risks due to waiting and crowds.
At the meeting, it was agreed that cooperation will continue in the future in order to jointly respond to problems and challenges in the field of health, in cooperation with the competent Ministry with the local administration of Rožaje and the Rožaje Health Center.
