In the spring, final works on the reconstruction of the old bridge

Works on the reconstruction of the old bridge and footpaths financed by TIKA are being carried out in accordance with the planned dynamics.

In the past period, works were carried out on the positions of the bridge construction, i.e. the expansion of the right and left sidewalks and the central support of the bridge.

The concrete works included activities on the electrical installations of the building and the water supply network, as well as preparatory work on the lighting of the bridge, as well as the construction of a metal fence.

Favorable weather conditions made it possible to complete the concreting of the bridge structure, with the presence of the chief engineers of the Turkish Development Agency TIKA and Expert Supervision.

The work on the reconstruction of pedestrian paths is being carried out according to the planned dynamics, phase by section, starting with the paving of the sidewalks and the street around the Madrasa building. Paving is done by installing granite curbs and cobblestones made of granite cubes.

According to information from the Contractor, during the winter months, the works will be suspended.

The current weather conditions enable the completion of the construction work on the bridge and its commissioning before the predicted rainfall, which will enable its safe use in winter conditions.

In the spring, work begins on the arrangement of traffic areas, the installation of furniture and lighting, as well as the arrangement of approaches to buildings located along the river bank.
