After 13 years, the local administration of Rožaje started a ski center in Turjak

The company Ski Center "Hajla", founded by the Municipality of Rožaje, justified its goal in less than two years after its establishment and, as announced, the popular ski resort on Turjak was put into operation.

 

The local administration, with the help of the Directorate of Public Works of Montenegro, and in cooperation with its Agencies and Services, successfully realized the dedicated funds of the Government and started the ski resort "Turjak", which had been closed for 13 years.

 

The President's office announced that the reconstruction of the technical components on the ski lift, traction devices, ropes and all other parts, lasted several months. Clearing the path of weeds and overgrown trees and solving property legal relations and other administrative actions also took a lot of time, but the clear goal of the President of the municipality to restart "Turjak" and restore its former image is enough motivation to overcome all barriers and that citizens First of all, Rojaja and the surrounding towns can once again enjoy the slopes of this Ski Center.

 

With the establishment of the company «Ski centar Hajla», the mentioned actions were accelerated and a lot was done to tidy up the track and its edges, and an ethnic restaurant was opened next to the track itself. The management team did a lot of marketing, and in a very short time the relaunch of "TURJAK" was heard in the surrounding towns, and the proof of that is the large attendance already on the first day of skiing.

 

Trail 1 has also been reconstructed, and the installation of a 250-meter-long children's ski lift is in progress, which will complete the conditions for the children who attend the Ski School, and certainly create an opportunity for their instructors for more active training and training of their participants.

 

It can be said that the relaunch of the ski resort on Turjak, together with the other sports infrastructure in Rožaje, in which the Local Government has invested impressive funds in the past two years, with the help of the Government and other institutions, both local and sports such as FSCG, has in many ways completed the sports a variety of both professional and recreational ones, and the proof of that is in the results achieved by sports clubs from our Municipality.

 

Investments in sports and sports infrastructure are investments in the healthy life and healthy habits of children and youth, which, in addition to starting the economy, is the primary goal and basic mission of the Local Administration and its President, Mr. Ejup Nurković.
