Continued campaign "Clean your own"
by Mubera Fetahović · Published · Updated
As part of the Clean Your Own campaign, planned activities were carried out today:
Cleaning and washing of the schoolyard of the Secondary Vocational School and Gymnasium "30. September", for which we also owe thanks to the directors of "SSŠ Rožaje", Sead Kalač and the gymnasium "30. September" to Fejz Murić, who responded to the call and animated 60 students, giving a personal contribution by joining this action. Students and professors collected waste from the yard but also from the surroundings of the aforementioned schools. The local administration provided the students with the necessary hygienic gloves and garbage bags.
They joined the action Protection Service, which provided a vehicle for washing and DOO Communal which provided a worker to wash the school yard.
Future activities are planned to visit all schools, in order to encourage students to take more care of their environment. By cleaning the yard of the school where they live, students create a sense of belonging to the collective and learn to think more healthily about their future. Various activities are planned for the future period, such as cleaning up wild garbage dumps in the urban part of the city and continuing to wash the streets in the wider and narrower parts of the city. It is also important to create a framework plan for remediation of illegal landfills in the rural part of the city, as well as creating a media campaign to raise citizens' awareness of environmental protection.
Next to the utility company, who is the holder of this project, the project partners are: Municipal Police, Secretariat for Traffic, Road Infrastructure and Housing, DOO Vodovod, Protection Service, Secretariat for Culture and Social Activities, Secretariat for Local Communities, Center for Information Systems (CIS) and Secretariat for Planning, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protectione.
We use this opportunity to appeal to the NGO sector, sports clubs, youth organizations and all citizens to contribute to this action with their participation.
