Incorrect claims that the Municipality of Rožaje is not implementing the Europe Now program

We inform the employees of the local self-government and all citizens of Rožaje that the claims of certain political subjects that the Municipality of Rožaje does not have the capacity to implement the Europe Now program are not true. Namely, the employees of the local self-government received their earnings from the previous period on January 28.

The salary for January was calculated in accordance with the Europe now program, so salaries will be properly increased from January, when the new law came into force.

Therefore, the implementation of the Europe program is now not questionable or challenged by anything.

It is a known fact to the public that the Municipality of Rožaje has significantly reduced its salary debt over the past three years, thanks to responsible and homely management. This is supported by the fact that employees in the local administration received salaries effectively every month during the indicated period. On the basis of the explanation, it is easy to conclude that among the priorities of the Municipality is the social status of employees and their families, as well as care for their standard of living, which ultimately has a positive multiplier effect on the local economy.

We remind the public that the Municipality is a reliable partner to all suppliers and contractors to whom all due obligations have been settled. Other obligations towards all budget users - the non-governmental sector, sports organizations, students, pupils, pensioners, farmers, etc. - were serviced.

We also note that, thanks to the continuous efforts of the local self-government and our representatives in the Government of Montenegro, projects worth millions of euros are currently being implemented in Rozaje, which guarantee the opening of a new development chapter of our municipality. Here we single out capital projects - Construction of the ski resort "Štedim-Hajla", reconstruction of the main road "Rožaje-Špiljani", construction of the bypass, city collector, kindergarten facilities, market, sports hall.

We permanently improved the preconditions for the development of the city with the historic decision to return the land of Gornji Ibar to the Municipality and citizens. Therefore, we are sure that the citizens will assess who are the "inhibitors of the development of Rožaj". We also deny the malicious allegations that the Municipality of Rožaje owes 25 million euros. It is an incomparably smaller amount that is shown in the Final Account of the budget of the Municipality of Rožaje.

Taking into account the current social moment and the efforts of the Municipality in the direction of improving the local living environment, we assess that today's claims related to the work of the local administration are politically instructed, non-objective and general whose ultimate goal is to collect small political points.
