The new president of the municipality of Rožaje Ejup Nurković

Rožaje - By the votes of the councilors of the Bosniak Party and the Social Democratic Party, Ejup Nurković from BS was elected as the president of the municipality of Rožaje. 20 councilors from the BS-SDP coalition voted for him, the DPS councilors were against, while the BDZ councilor abstained.

Nurković announced that as the mayor of the municipality, he will work professionally, fairly, legally and transparently.

- I see local administration as a service for citizens. I will do everything to stop bribery, corruption and other deviations, which exist or are visible in local government, companies and public institutions. Citizens will be able to follow the work of the mayor, the Assembly and public services every day - said Nurković.

He said that the first task of the new government is to review investments for this year, as well as making plans for the next.

- We will emphasize the diaspora, that is, the creation of jobs within small and medium-sized enterprises. It is one of the burning goals and we will invest all our capacities to make this idea come true. I am determined to create conditions for the investment of our diaspora, which wants to finance projects in Rožaje. I will accept all good ideas in the interest of the citizens of our municipality. We already have strategic partners who are interested in investing capital in projects in the Rožaj municipality. We will do everything on this plan in order to reduce the huge unemployment - said Nurković.
