New success of our judokas
New success of our judokas at the international competitions "AUSTRIA OPEN" and the BALKAN CHAMPIONSHIP!
1. At the international competition "AUSTRIA OPEN" held in Graz, Austria, our judokas won three medals.
Refik Beciragic won the silver medal in extremely strong competition. He overcame all opponents from France, Hungary, Austria and even to the finals, in the final fight he lost to representatives from Moldova.
Edvin Kalac and his brother Amar Kalac won bronze medals with the victories of the representatives of Austria, Hungary and Poland.
Our best junior, Jusuf Nurkovic, won the first round against a competitor from Israel, in the second round against a representative of Austria, in the next round against a representative of Belgium, he withdrew due to injury, so we were denied another medal.
Our other competitors Edvin Civovic, Ismail Muratovic and Jakup Muratovic failed to win a medal.
2. At the Balkan championship for pioneers held in Žabljak, our representative Jahja Nurkovic won a bronze medal.
Jahja Nurkovic he achieved three victories over the representatives of Greece in the first round, in the second round he lost to the representative of Romania at the very end of the fight, in the third round he defeated the representative of Turkey. In the fourth round in the fight for a medal, he defeated the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
9 countries with 239 competitors participated in the Balkan championship.
