Notice for the submitters of election lists for councilor elections in the Rožaje municipality

NOTICE FOR APPLICANTS OF ELECTION LISTS FOR ELECTIONS OF COUNCILORS IN THE ASSEMBLY OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROŽAJE TO BE HELD ON OCTOBER 23, 2022

Pursuant to Article 46 of the Law on the Election of Councilors and Representatives ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Montenegro", No. 004/98, 005/98, 017/98, 014/00, 018/00, "Official Gazette of Montenegro", No. 046/ 11, 014/14, 047/14, 012/16, 060/17, 010/18, 109/20), political parties registered in Montenegro, coalitions of political parties or groups of voters who wish to participate in local elections in to the municipality of Rožaje that they can submit the election list to the Rožaje Municipal Election Commission no earlier than 20 days from the date of the announcement of the election, starting from 08/23/2022. year, and no later than 25 days before the day set for holding the election, until September 27, 2022, by midnight. 

Along with the electoral list, the following documentation is submitted to the electoral commission in Rožaje:

  1) written declaration of the candidate that he accepts the candidacy;

  2) certificate of voting rights for each candidate from the electoral list;

  3) certificate of residence of each candidate;

  4) list with signatures of voters supporting the electoral list;

  5) written agreement on the acceptance of the holder of the list, if it is included in the name of the list;

  6) the decision of the competent body of the political party by which it verified the electoral list;

  7) election application;

  8) founding and program act.

In accordance with Article 43 of the Law on the Election of Councilors and Members of Parliament, in order to determine the electoral list for the election of councilors, it is necessary that it be supported by at least 0.8 % voters from the number of voters in the electoral unit, counting according to the data on the number of voters from the elections that preceded the decision on the announcement of elections, which, counting the number of registered voters for the elections of deputies to the Assembly of Montenegro held on August 30, 2020, amounts to:

1) at least 180 voter signatures are required to support the election list for councilors in the Rožaje Municipality Assembly;

2) for political parties or groups of voters representing a minority nation or a minority national community, at least 150 voter signatures are required.

Voters who sign lists for the election of councilors must reside in the territory of the municipality of Rožaje.

A voter can, with his signature, support only one electoral list.
