European Mobility Week is being celebrated

The Municipality of Rožaje, the Secretariat for Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection and the local tourist organization are marking the European Mobility Week.

Today, on that occasion, a circular bicycle race was held in the Brezovacko brdo forest park. Tomorrow, September 22, the "Day without cars" activity will be held, due to which Maršala Tito Street will be closed to motor traffic from 1 to 2 p.m.

The goal of these activities is the promotion of sustainable urban mobility and raising citizens' awareness of the importance of walking for human health. For this purpose, brochures will be distributed, and cycling will be additionally presented as an alternative mode of transportation, primarily to alleviate traffic congestion.

Municipality of Rožaje and association bicycle.me soon they will install modern parking lots for bicycles in the city square as well as near high schools. Also, within the implementation of the project "Norway for you"By mid-October, citizens will be able to use new facilities in the Brezovacko brdo park-forest, among which will be another pedestrian-bicycle bridge on Crnja, which will connect the path that runs parallel to the river.
