I want to thank the citizens who conscientiously fulfilled and are fulfilling the obligations of isolation and self-isolation and thus protected their families and fellow citizens.
I also express my gratitude to the members of the Security Department and the Municipal Police who monitor the implementation of temporary protection measures established by the National Coordinating Body for Infectious Diseases day and night.
I would like to thank the health workers who are on the front line of defense against the spread of infection, employees in public services and companies, shops, banks, and the Post Office. Gratitude also belongs to the educators who proved their expertise and professional commitment in difficult circumstances. Also, I am grateful to the local and state media for truthfully and timely informing the citizens about all the events in the course of the new situation.
The municipal protection and rescue team monitors the epidemiological situation in Rožaje at all times. Through cooperation with humanitarian organizations, food is continuously delivered to all parts of the municipality. Municipal workers wash and disinfect streets and public buildings almost every day. We also monitor the supply of markets, shops and pharmacies.
The local self-government is actively working on the preparation of a set of economic measures that will help businessmen and agricultural producers to overcome the negative effects of the corona virus epidemic and that will ensure the further economic development of Rožaj after the end of the crisis.
Dear citizens of Rožaj,
I am happy to say that there are no corona virus infected people in our local community. Such a result indicates the success that was achieved jointly, through intensive cooperation. However, this should not encourage us to relax. On the contrary, we are obliged to further strengthen discipline and reduce social contacts even more. The best way to protect our friends, neighbors and relatives is to stay physically away from them during the epidemic.
Thank you for your understanding and once again I invite you to stay in your homes and continue to follow the recommendations of the National Coordinating Body, the Institute of Public Health and the Municipal Protection and Rescue Team.
