The round table "Development perspectives of Rožaj" was held
Last night, a round table was held in the small hall of the Culture Center, the aim of which was to present opportunities for the economic development of the municipality of Rožaje. The meeting was initiated by the Center for International Cooperation and Diaspora, and was supported by the Municipality of Rožaje and the Rožaje Cultural Center. The round table was attended by representatives of our diaspora, Vice President of the Government of Montenegro, Rafet Husović, secretaries of the local administration secretariat, heads and directors of directorates and services, president of OO BS Rožaje-Amer Nokić and interested media and citizens.
According to the head of international cooperation and diaspora, Fahreta Husović, the goal of initiating this meeting is a closer presentation of the resources of our municipality and the presentation of the local administration's work so far. "We strive for a balanced development of rural areas through the development of agriculture, animal husbandry, beekeeping and the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants and forest fruits, for which our municipality has potential, and the local administration offers a number of incentive measures in cooperation with the Government of Montenegro, we believe that our diaspora will find interest in investing in these branches of the economy in our municipality. ", said Mrs. Husović to those present.
The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, addressed the audience, emphasizing that the goal of the local government is to solve existing problems through open discussion and that the local government wants to hear comments and suggestions from our diaspora, in order to jointly define the development strategy of the municipality and together with the partnership and friendly relationship with our diaspora and their friends and business partners abroad cooperated in mutual interest.
"In front of the local administration of Rožaje, I am ready to promise that all interested investors will be provided with space to work, by assigning vacant buildings free of charge for up to 99 years, if their ideas for business development are good, realistic and stable. In addition, the local administration is ready, in cooperation with the Government of Montenegro, to support new investors with various types of subsidies for the creation of new jobs. People with good ideas for business development are offered very favorable loans that they can use for business development purposes, especially if the investments concern investments in the northern part of Montenegro, so it is a good chance for our citizens to start a business on their own." Mr. Nurković said, among other things.
Amela Kalender presented the development projects of the Municipality of Rožaje and investment opportunities in front of the Cabinet of the President of the Municipality, offering ideas and guidelines for business development that interested parties can work out in detail and adapt to possibilities. The presentation also covered the period before the current government took over, presenting the problems that the local government faced, and ended the presentation by presenting the planned activities of the local government in the national period.
The Vice President of the Government of Montenegro, Rafet Husović, also addressed the gathering, expressing his observation that the local administration of Rožaje has made certain progress in a year, but that much more work is needed to reach European standards as quickly as possible.
"It is important that the municipality of Rožaje has had concrete projects so far, and the municipality must be committed to the development of the economy, agriculture, production and energy. The government is interested in helping and every development project is carefully considered, especially when it comes to the north of Montenegro and Rožaje, but the local administration also plays a big role in retaining foreign investors," said the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Husović, with many suggestions to the local administration.
Irfan Agović, a graduate agriculturist from Petnica, addressed the audience, suggesting to the guests who are interested in agricultural cultivation that they focus on the production of potatoes, which due to the constitution of the land in Rožaje is of top quality, and on the production of cereals, for which there is a great demand in the region and to the world.
Officials of the local administration, secretaries and directors, as well as the vice-president of the Municipality of Rožaje Idriz Nurković, presented the present work and plans for the next period from the domain of their services to the present guests, and suggestions and questions were also asked by representatives of the diaspora.
