A MEETING WAS HELD WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE DIASPORA

President of the Municipality of Rožaje Ejup Nurković with his collaborators, on Monday (August 18, 2014), he hosted representatives of the diaspora.

The topic of the working meeting was "Economic recovery of Rožaj". 40 businessmen from the diaspora were present at the meeting. The meeting was constructive, all representatives got involved in the work and contributed to the meeting, offering new ideas and plans.

In his opening speech, the President of the Municipality, Ejup Nurković, thanked the guests from the diaspora, introduced them to the current economic situation in Rožaje, which is extremely difficult and requires great effort and investment from all of us in the diaspora, in order to start the entire economy of this region.

President Ejup Nurković expects further cooperation, support and investments from our people from the diaspora.

The plans of the President of the Municipality were supported by representatives of the diaspora, especially in the domain that supports and encourages their future investments. The primary goal next year is to start production and create new jobs. According to the businessmen, they are particularly interested in the field of tourism, in order to use the wealth of our areas, since nature offers opportunities for both summer and winter tourism. "Hajla, Štedim and Ahmica have potentials that do not require large investments, but good promotion," emphasized future investors.

Programs for agriculture and animal husbandry, the formation of mini-farms in several locations in our municipality and their networking are the future potential of quality products.

At the meeting, it was agreed that as part of the "Days of Culture" program, there will also be Days of the Rozaj Diaspora, which will be held from August 3 to 6, every year.

In the end, the President of the Municipality of Rožaje thanked the representatives of the diaspora for their response and promised transparency in the work and the necessary project documentation with investment facilities, in order to remove all existing barriers.
