A CEREMONY SESSION OF THE ASSEMBLY DEDICATED TO THE DAY OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROŽAJA WAS HELD

The Day of the Municipality of Rožaje on September 30 was marked with a formal session of the Rožaje Municipality Assembly and an appropriate program.

In addition to local government officials, the session was attended by numerous dignitaries from the country and the surrounding area.
At the beginning of the session, the President of the Assembly Husein Kurtagić greeted those present, with congratulations on the Day of the Municipality to all citizens and a welcome to the guests.

After the welcoming speech of the President of the Assembly Husein Kurtagić, a video presentation of the work of the local administration in the previous year was shown, where the most important investments were highlighted.

The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, in his address, emphasized the importance of the realized and planned investments in the following period: "We are especially proud that, despite a number of problems, we managed to realize the capital improvement of the city's primary water supply to the joy of all citizens Birth. We also started the Ćosovsko vrelo water supply, which will supply 6 local communities. We started the mentioned projects in cooperation with the Directorate of Public Works.

Nurković emphasized the importance of signing the contract on the sale of part of the Upper Ibar to the Turkish company "Sandzakli Mobilija", you know that every new job in Rožaje means a lot to the improvement of the overall economic situation in our municipality, so the Turkish investor's promise that in the next 3 years he will employ 159 workers guarantees a better future for our city. We conducted activities related to the sale of part of the Upper Ibar together with the Government of Montenegro and the Privatization Council of Montenegro.

We also partnered with local businessmen to open 38 new jobs, where the Municipality provided subsidies to companies.

In the coming period, we will focus on finding new strategic partners for investments in the real sector in our municipality, because we need to use the existing infrastructure, that is, the existing plants that can be put into operation with minimal investments.

One of the strategic branches of the development of our municipality is tourism, so we are already working on the valorization of tourist capacities in the Hajla mountain location - Štedim. We plan to submit this capital investment to the Government of Montenegro, the Directorate of Public Works and the Ministry of Tourism and Sustainable Development for 2016," said Mr. Nurković.

At the end of the program, the "September 30" awards were given to Sadrija Sak Dacic for humanitarian work, Fevzija- Feka Kurtagić for contribution in sports, Safet Hadrović Vrbička for contribution in the field of culture. In addition to the awards "30 September" awards were given to the best students in the past year. To Redžep Fetahović for the student of the generation of JU Gymnasium "30 September", to Adeljina Daca for the student of the generation of JU Secondary Vocational School.
