The municipality of Rožaje will defend the area with Štedima
The story of illegal construction on Mount Štedim is once again current in Rožaje.
In the area of that mountain massif, there are, as it has been established, seven illegally erected constructions which, as is suspected, belong to the citizens of Kosovo whose identity has not been established for now. Excavation of access roads to those facilities, as well as intervention at the source of water, which is included in the development potential of the area, can also be seen.
Having in mind the long-term development plans of the municipality of Rožaje, President Ejup Nurković took the necessary measures, so on Tuesday, together with representatives of the security department of Peć and Rožaje and the secretary of the competent municipal secretariat, Rusmir Dzudžević, he visited the area where illegal construction is taking place.
The President of the Rožaje Municipal Assembly, Almir Avdić, pointing out the importance of that area, confirmed on behalf of the local self-government that the competent state services have been informed about the problem and that it is certain that they will act in accordance with the current regulations and in order to protect the public interest.
Avdić reminded that the problem of illegal construction in Štedim dates back to last year and that the state did not fully resolve it then.
"The local self-government will vigorously defend the Štedima territory," said the first man of the local parliament, noting that this area is a generator of the future development of the municipality.
Avdić, in the framework of the story about illegal construction in Štedim, told the local contractors to strive for the collective interest and to refuse jobs that do not benefit the community.
Protor Štedim-Hajla will be valorized in several ways, which will continue, as announced, to be accompanied by multimillion-dollar investments by the Government of Montenegro. Cable cars, ski slopes, base stations, supporting facilities, power, traffic, communal and other infrastructure will be built, and equipment and machinery for the needs of the ski center will be procured.
