The municipality of Rožaje is open for cooperation on programs to strengthen ties with the diaspora
The President of the Municipality, Rahman Husović, met today with the Director of the Administration for Cooperation with the Diaspora-Expatriates, Seid Hadžić.
The focus of the conversation was on topics related to strengthening cooperation with our fellow citizens living in the diaspora and their associations.
The interlocutors agreed that Rožaje has a large diaspora that continuously makes an immeasurable contribution to the improvement of the overall living environment in its homeland.
During the meeting, it was pointed out that the action of the diaspora was particularly significant during the pandemic period, when donations arrived in Montenegro that were a strong signal of solidarity and support in the fight against the corona virus.
It was jointly assessed that it is necessary for Montenegro to continue its efforts in the direction of further improvement of the conditions for the inclusion of the diaspora in all areas of social reality.
In accordance with the objectives of the visit, Hadžić informed President Husović about the program activities of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora-Expatriates, stressing that the manifestation "Days of the Diaspora-Expatriates" will be held in Bijelo Polje on July 29 and 30, which will consist of a series of events.
According to the announcements of the organizers, immediately before the central celebration, a Business Forum will be held, where the incentives and promotion of investments will be discussed, as well as the active involvement of our diaspora through investing capital and starting a business in Montenegro, as well as encouraging their business partners to invest in Montenegrin resources. .
Hadžić said that the conclusions of the Business Forum will serve to take concrete measures in strengthening cooperation between Montenegro and its diaspora, and that it is important that the Municipality of Rožaje, led by President Husović, be an active participant in its implementation.
President Husović thanked Hadžić for the visit and the invitation to participate in the "Days of the Diaspora-Emigrants" event. He confirmed the presence of Rožaje local self-government at the Business Forum and noted that the Municipality of Rožaje is open to cooperation in the field of implementing all programs that contribute to strengthening ties with our fellow citizens in the diaspora and that at the same time serve the interests of all citizens of Montenegro.
Participants of the meeting were Ismet Hadžić, Secretary of the Secretariat for Finance and Economic Development of the Municipality of Rožaje, and Alen Mujević from the Directorate for Cooperation with Diaspora-Expatriates.
