The municipality of Rožaje is ready to protect citizens from the corona virus
The President of the Municipality of Rožaje Rahman Husović held today a series of meetings with the leaders of local self-government bodies, managers of public services, institutions and companies, and the Municipal Team for Protection and Rescue, where conclusions were adopted and future actions were defined in the direction of the implementation of temporary measures to protect citizens from corona virus.
"The local self-government, in accordance with the legal provisions, is obliged to implement measures to protect the population from infectious diseases, therefore, following the new situation, we started to consider the existing capacities and define individual and joint tasks in order to protect citizens from the current infection. "The municipality of Rožaje is ready to implement the provisions of the state institutions that are responsible for this area through its organs and services and thus contribute to the national fight against the spread of the Corona virus," said President Husović.
During the meetings, information from the field was exchanged indicating the current situation at the local level, with the conclusion that the competent institutions have begun monitoring and implementing measures prescribed by the state and related to the prevention of the spread of the infection.
In Rožaje, two people are currently in quarantine and around 30 are in self-isolation at home, they are under medical supervision and have no symptoms of infection, it was said at the session of the Municipal Team for Protection and Rescue. These are mostly people who lived abroad until recently.
Members of the Security Department in Rožaje initiated certain activities in the field of monitoring the implementation of the given temporary measures and, as they pointed out, strengthened cooperation with the Border and Communal Police as well as with customs officials who also introduced an enhanced work regime. Traffic of people and goods takes place in accordance with the adopted provisions.
In accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, President Hisović, with the prior consultation of the elders of local self-government bodies and public services of which the Municipality is the founder, established the following temporary measures:
- The elders of local government bodies and public services whose founder is the Municipality of Rožaje are obliged to organize a special work regime in accordance with the needs of the work process of the bodies they lead, in such a way that:
- to employees at workplaces, for whom the work process allows it, enable work from home and determine the method of that work; allow employees who, due to health conditions and other circumstances, should not be exposed to the risk of illness, leave from work;
- pregnant women, one of whose parents have children under the age of 11, provide leave from work for the duration of the temporary measure; provide employees who are older than 55 with leave from work for the duration of the temporary measure;
- provide protective equipment to the employees who work at the workplaces for receiving mail and certifying documents, employees at the workplaces of deliverymen and porters;
- provide, if the work process allows for shift work, with the aim of reducing the number of employees staying in office premises.
- The bodies referred to in paragraph 1 are obliged to carry out the urgent procurement of hygiene products, hand sanitizers, work space and equipment for the needs of the bodies and to carry out all activities for the maintenance and implementation of hygiene in those bodies, in order to prevent, suppress and prevent the transmission of the corona virus .
- LLC "Vodovod i kanalizacija" Rožaje, LLC "Komunalno" Rožaje and the Municipal Police Service will carry out the scope of work under their jurisdiction in full capacity.
- The Secretariat for Planning, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection undertakes activities within the scope of its competence = to familiarize the carriers that transport passengers on the territory of the municipality of Rožaje about the measures and recommendations by. Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs - Directorate for Road Traffic, which refer to the introduction of mandatory daily disinfection of vehicles used in public transport - van transport, auto-taxi vehicles and other means of transport on line traffic.
