The municipal team for protection and rescue is intensifying its activities in order to preserve the health of citizens

Today, the municipal team for protection and rescue held a working meeting in a narrow composition where the current epidemiological situation was discussed and the activities that have been implemented since the introduction of measures to protect against the corona virus were presented.
During the meeting, it was unanimously concluded that the Municipal Protection and Rescue Team, led by the President of the Municipality Rahman Husović, fully follows the recommendations of the National Coordinating Body and the Institute for Public Health and that a whole set of temporary protection measures has been properly implemented in Rožaje.
The mutual coordination and cooperation of services that are directly involved in the process of monitoring the current situation was praised, and new possibilities for sharing information in the course of further work were defined.
According to official estimates, the next two weeks will be crucial in the fight against infection, therefore, the Municipal Protection and Rescue Team called on the competent services to further intensify their work in order to continue providing citizens with the highest possible level of protection against the virus.
In the Report of the Department of Security, it is stated that the lists of persons who have been given orders on self-isolation at home are updated daily and that compliance with these measures is monitored in accordance with the regulations. Every day, in the daytime and in the evening, they visit all catering facilities, shops, and all business entities whose work is prohibited by the measures. Through traffic control, measures are implemented to prohibit the movement of persons in intercity traffic, as well as the prohibition of the presence of more than two adults in one vehicle. Bearing in mind that new measures restricting movement have come into force, the police have announced increased control.
Compliance with social distancing measures will also be under close supervision in the coming days.
It was announced from the Health Center that 184 people are under health-sanitary supervision and that significant amounts of protective equipment have been delivered to that health facility.
Citizens of weaker material condition and impaired health, who are most affected by the negative effects of the epidemic, as well as members of the elderly population, will be provided with food assistance, which will be distributed through joint actions of the Municipal Team and the Red Cross.
It was also pointed out that the Municipal team, respecting its own capacities, during the past few days has been actively delivering basic foodstuffs to citizens who belong to vulnerable categories of the population, especially those who live in peripheral parts of the municipality.

President of the Municipality Rahman Husovic said that all the activity holders who are part of the Municipal Protection and Rescue Team will be at the service of the citizens day and night and that they will act strongly and persistently in the direction of overcoming the epidemic and repairing its consequences.
"The municipality of Rožaje, like the state, has subordinated all activities to one goal - to protect the health of citizens", said President Husović, which is the most important thing at this moment.
Citizens are once again urged to be patient with an appeal to stay in their homes in order to jointly and effectively confront the health challenge that has gripped the entire world.
