The elementary school in Bukovica will soon get a modern sports field

The final works on the construction of the sports field for the needs of the elementary school in Bukovica are coming to an end.

The implementation of this project, worth 120,000 euros, is financed by the Directorate of Public Works of Montenegro. According to Almer Kalač, the director of this government department, the new, modern playground will be put into operation during this construction season.

Kalač explains that in the coming period there will be work on laying the final layer of asphalt on the playground itself, rehabilitating the existing grounds, building stands, fences and paths from the street to the entrance to the playground, installing lighting and numerous other smaller elements provided for in the project solution.

The main goal of this investment was to create conditions for young people in rural areas to engage in sports without hindrance, in order to form affinities towards healthy lifestyles at an early age and to avoid the negative effects of the internet reality, Kalač added.

For the first time, the area of the local community of Bukovica is receiving infrastructure intended for the implementation of sports and recreational activities. With the completion of work on this project, students will finally have the chance to acquire the necessary knowledge in the field of physical education in physical education classes, which are also important for the proper psychophysical development of the personality.

The partner in implementing the project is the local self-government of Rožaje.
