Packages for our youngest fellow citizens

The President of the Municipality, Rahman Husović, today visited the "Merhamet" Charitable Society with his colleagues, which, on the occasion of the coming New Year's holidays, distributed packets to the youngest service users.

The President of Merhamet, Sead Kurtagić, thanked President Husović as well as all local subjects and individuals who, as he pointed out, helped financially in carrying out today's action.

President Husović praised the work of Merhamet and stated that the local self-government will continue to support the work of all local humanitarian organizations in the coming year.

"For years, Merhamet has been selflessly providing help to our fellow citizens who are in a state of social need. The volunteers of this charity reach even the most remote local communities and distribute food, clothes, shoes, school supplies and other necessities of life. Mr. Sead Kurtagić and his team do an exceptional job, and I am sure that the citizens of Rožaj appreciate their commitment to humanitarian work. The work of Merhamet from Rožaj is recognized throughout the country, the region and by our diaspora", President Husović said and added that the local self-government will continue to support the activities of humanitarian organizations in the coming period.
