Pilot project of certification of the farm unit according to the PEFC standard

The pilot project of the certification of the farm unit according to the PEFC standard, Balotska Suma, continues and is being realized with the expected dynamics. Today, the President of the Municipality, Mr. Nusret Kalač, received the actors of this Project, Antonia Brunori, General Secretary of the PEFC Standard of Italy, Remi Sournia, representative of the PEFC Standard of Zeneva, Mensura Nuhodzic, the project coordinator, Zehra Demic, the project coordinator and Rasid Muejvic, the director of the Local Business Center Rozaje. Those present informed the President of the Municipality about the implemented activities of the project and presented the possibility of obtaining the so-called PEFC - COC certificate for wood products.

After a meeting with the President of the Municipality in the premises of the Local Business Center, a meeting was held with interested wood processors to obtain the PEFC-COC certificate for wood products, that is, that the products can be certified even though the sums are not certified.

The procedures for obtaining this certificate were explained to the wood processors present, and it was agreed that the Local Business Center would coordinate these activities.
