Regular salaries, debts to suppliers settled, more than 12 km of roads paved

Despite the reduction of the budget due to the consequences of the epidemiological crisis caused by the corona virus, the Rožaj local government successfully serviced its financial obligations in 2020.

The investment program has been fully implemented and debts to suppliers have been settled. About 12 km of urban and rural roads were asphalted, and work on the rehabilitation of macadam roads was going on in parallel.

Significant funds were invested in the construction of slab culverts and the installation of public lighting, as well as in solving the accumulated problems in the field of water supply. The total value of realized investments reached EUR 1,156,700.00.

Employees in the local self-government were paid 13 salaries (12 regular and one in arrears).

Over 70,000 euros were paid to socially vulnerable households and individuals on the basis of one-time assistance.

In 2020, nearly four thousand euros were paid to humanitarian organizations. The municipality will strive to implement the next budget rationally, transparently and in accordance with public interests and legal regulations.
