Daylight saving time begins
By moving the hands on the clocks forward one hour, on the night between Saturday and Sunday, daylight savings time begins. Thus, on Sunday, March 30, the clocks should be moved from 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.
Daylight saving time starts on the last weekend in March and lasts until the last weekend in October.
The transition to summer time was introduced in 1916 in the countries of Northern Europe, and since then it has been adopted by about 70 countries, counting on saving electricity by "moving" the period of daylight from the early morning hours to the evening.
