Reconstruction of the old bridge and footpaths begins

The President of the Municipality of Rožaje Rahman Husović and the coordinator of the TIKA office in Podgorica Abdurahman Toprak signed today the Protocol on cooperation on the implementation of the project of reconstruction of the old bridge and pedestrian paths in the city center.

The cost of the works, which will be fully financed by TIKA, is estimated at around 400,000 euros. The contractor will start preparatory activities in the coming days.

TIKA coordinator Abdurahman Toprak congratulated the citizens of Rožaj on the future implementation of the project and thanked the local leadership led by President Husović for, as he assessed, correct and efficient engagement in pre-project activities. Toprak also said that he is sure that the good cooperation with the Municipality will continue until the completion of the works.

At the meeting that was held today on that occasion in the Municipality building, it was assessed that the project of reconstruction of the old bridge and footpaths is of inestimable importance because it will visually restore part of the former ambience in that part of the Rozaj bazaar.
