Visit of the delegation from the Municipality of Kirklareli (Turkey) to the Municipality of Rozaje
Today, the delegation of the Municipality of Kirklareli, led by the President of the Municipality, Mr. Mehmet Siyam KESİMOĞLU and the President of the Association of Expatriates of Yugoslavia-Karadağ, Bedri Gül from Istanbul, with associates and successful businessmen visited the Municipality of Rožaje, where they were received by Mr. Ejup Nurković and his associates. This visit is the result of earlier negotiations on strengthening cooperation with the municipality of Kirkareli in order to establish a good environment for the opening of new branches of production and creation of new jobs through joint work and future cooperation.
The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, reminded the guests of the age-old connection between our peoples, the common culture and history, the strong friendship and family ties that bind these two cities. He introduced those present to all the resources available to our municipality and invited them to invest in the municipality of Rožaje, offering them various types of support and subsidies for the creation of new jobs. The delegation included successful businessmen from the municipality of Kirklareli who are particularly interested in the fields of energy and wood processing. Tomorrow, this visit will be amicably certified by the Cooperation Agreement between these two cities, in order to cancel the administrative barriers for the continuation of cooperation with the aim of establishing sisterly relations, so the Municipality of Rožaje will get another sister municipality.
According to the President of the Municipality of Rožaja, Ejup Nurković, fraternal relations between different municipalities facilitate cooperation between municipalities, and the signatories of the Agreement have a moral responsibility towards each other to work intensively on various projects with the aim of bringing the two peoples closer together, strengthening the economy together and exchanging culture and experiences.
The President of the Municipality of Kirklareli expressed his satisfaction with this visit and the warm welcome. According to him, the Parliament of their Municipality has given consent to twinning, so he expects that procedure to be completed quickly in Rožaje as well. In his presentation, he announced that the municipality of Rožaje is the eighth sister municipality and that so far similar agreements have given good results, so he expects it to be the same with the municipality of Rožaje. He said that he knows the culture of Bosniaks well and that in their municipality he has close associates from our region. After the meeting in the President's cabinet, the delegation visited the facilities of former factories in the territory of the municipality of Rožaje and wood producers from Rožaje who export their products to European countries, and tomorrow the Cooperation Agreement will be ceremonially signed in the small Hall of the Cultural Center starting at 11:30 a.m. which will more closely define the fields of future cooperation.
