A visit to the newly elected principal of Elementary School "25.maj" Avdo Nurković
Today, the president of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, with the vice-presidents (Idriz Nurković and Mirsad Azemović) and the president of the Right Bank of the Ibar Municipality, Hadro Murić, visited the Elementary School "25.maj", where they were welcomed by the newly elected principal of the school, Mr. Avdo Nurković. The director of the school explained the situation he found in the school when he took up the position of director, clarifying the problems the school has and expectations for future cooperation with the local administration and the relevant Ministry. Considering that the school holds classes for 1,100 students, the interest of the municipality of Rožaje and the citizens is to improve the working conditions in the school, so that the children receive an adequate education through modern education for their age.
The President of the Municipality emphasized that the local administration makes great efforts to provide children with the highest quality teaching in schools, which is within the domain of the local administration, and encourages their involvement in extracurricular activities, especially when it comes to sports and healthy forms of recreation. "With the change of government in Rožaje, we found bad working conditions in most schools, especially in rural schools, where there was no adequate equipment, inventory, sports fields and heating. For these reasons, the local administration has concentrated in particular on improving the working conditions in rural schools, where some progress has been made, but larger investments are expected in the coming period. Certainly, the number of pupils of the "25.maj" primary school obliges the local administration to support its work, and we will work on it together." said the Deputy President of the Municipality.
At the meeting, the priority problems of this institution were discussed and plans for future cooperation with the local government authorities were agreed upon, but there were also talks about the successes of the students of this school who have achieved exceptional results in many competitions so far.
