VISIT OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROZAJA TO TURKEY

The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, officially visited Istanbul (December 12-15, 2014), where he met with the President of the Municipality of Zeytinburnu, Mr. Murat Aydın, and businessmen from the association Bosna-Sancak in the Municipality. Bayrampaşa.

The President of the Municipality of Zeytinburnu, Mr. Murat Aydın, will pay a visit to Montenegro and the Municipality of Rožaje in April 2015, in order to establish more intensive cooperation, and he promised to donate a car to the Municipality of Rožaje for the needs of the utility company for street maintenance, as well as a donation for the financing of a park with furniture.

The Municipality of Rožaje will be visited by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Montenegro Mehmet Nijaz Tanilir with businessmen from Istanbul and other cities during December 2014, when further business and economic cooperation will be specified.

In an earlier conversation with His Excellency Mehmet Nijazi Tanilir, the idea arose that the Municipality of Rožaje should be twinned with the Municipality of Kutahija, which has 590,496 inhabitants according to the 2012 census. After the verification of fraternity in the municipal assemblies, official visits of the municipal delegations will be organized, where further business, economic and cultural cooperation will be established.

In addition to the working visits, the President of the Municipality of Rožaje with a delegation of neighboring countries visited an important historical and cultural place in Turkey - Çanakkale. Çanakkale is a particularly important place for the Turks and the Republic of Turkey, because the battles between the Ottomans and the Allies took place there, where the Allies were defeated in 1915, with a large number of Ottoman casualties, and the battle was led by Kemal Ataturk.

The expenses of travel and hotel accommodation were borne by businessmen of Turkish companies.
