Contracts signed with 14 farmers on the free supply of breeding cows

This year, the municipality of Rožaje introduced additional incentive measures for the development of agriculture. On this occasion, today a contract was concluded with 14 farmers from different local communities on the free supply of breeding cows (heifers, lambs...) Namely, the Municipality purchased 12 pregnant heifers in the amount of 1,500 euros each and two lambs that will be distributed to farmers who have applied to the Public Call for the award of support to agricultural holdings for all measures provided for in the municipal Agricultural Budget for 2021, which was published on April 14.

This incentive measure gives farmers the opportunity to form a livestock fund or increase it further within a period of three years. Their obligation is to keep the first calf or lamb for 4-6 months and then sell it and pay the funds to the giro account of the Municipality.

If the farmer decides to keep the calf or lamb, he is obliged to pay the amount equal to its value to the giro account of the Municipality.

The municipality will use the funds paid by the farmers based on the contractual obligations for the next public call within the same incentive measures for the development of agriculture. whose goal is the procurement of machinery and the expansion of agricultural production.

At the same time, guidelines for using funds from the local agricultural budget can be obtained from the Secretariat for Agriculture.
