President Husović: "Citizens trust us, we have restored trust in local administration"

In the past three years, we have worked actively to provide the best possible living conditions for all our fellow citizens. This is evidenced by deeds and constant work in the field. We visited every local community and built roads and improved the entire infrastructure in almost every one.
I am sorry that the inhabitants of many Rozaj villages have been waiting for asphalt to reach their homes for decades. Some roads connecting several villages were barely usable for traffic. Among them are the roads Hurije - Donja Lovnica - Ćosovica, Zeleni - Grahovača - Bašča, etc.

We asphalted and rehabilitated roads in several locations in all 28 local communities, for which a multimillion-dollar amount was allocated from the local budget. In the coming period, we will map the complete road network on the territory of the entire municipality.

I am pleased to point out that the citizens have restored their trust in the local administration, they trust us because their requests were met to the greatest extent by our team.

Honest, transparent, responsible and homely work - this is what the current local administration is known for.

The ongoing election campaign is, unfortunately, a motive for the spread of misinformation. Inaccurate information about the alleged liabilities of the Municipality is carelessly presented to the public. That these are only guesses is also shown by the Semi-Annual report on total receipts and total expenditures, which was adopted at the last session of the Municipal Assembly, and which lists the Municipality's debt of 9,470,381.49 euros, which has been accumulated since 2010.

Therefore, the stories that the Municipality of Rožaje is in debt of 20 or 30 million euros are incorrect and tendentious. It is true that, like other municipalities in Montenegro, we have various challenges, many are the result of the covid crisis and unfavorable social conditions, but, all this time, we have been clearly oriented towards the prosperity of Rožaj. The fact is that we inherited a desolation, many who are calling us names these days just want to "blame" on us their own multi-decade indolence and negligence towards this bazaar, for which the citizens, fortunately, punished them.
